The Baby that wants to stay in!
Thursday is the day. I am being induced at 7am. I still am not sure about how I feel about the whole thing, but I am really afraid of having a huge baby too. I wanted to do everything as natural as possible, but I know with an induction pain drugs are almost a nessecity. I guess I just need a few hours to wrap my head around the whole thing. I'm very nervous and a little disappointed that this is how things are panning out.

i have been checking your blog to see if you had that baby yet. Good luck with everything on Thursday. Can't wait to hear the news!
LOTS AND LOTS OF SEX FROM NOW UNTIL THEN!!!!!!! Seriously.... I have my babies early for the most absolutely rediculous reason. NIPPLE STIMULATION! Seriously! That makes me go into labor. It did both times. Actually, it is also the reason I had to wean Hayden when I got pregnant with Finley. The stimulation from nursing was so severe that they thought I was trying to miscarry. It wasn't uncomfortable.. it was horribly painful. Like, labor pain. Totally not normal. I must just sensative like that.
You can do it!!!! Good Luck!!!!
Sex is one thing I am willing to try. Caster oil, hell No! The way it works is by causing you bowels to spasm so sever(aka wicked diarrhea) that it makes your uterous contract. Not pleasant even though people have been using it for years. So tonight, don't come knockin!
my friend's midwife did an internal exam using castor oil and that was enough to get her labor started (she was "overdue" as well). sorry for tmi but - she only pooped a couple times so it wasn't NEARLY as bad as if she had drank it. i can't recall if you are seeing a midwife or not, but maybe she can try that?
have you thought about acupuncture? that can help too.
good luck no matter what happens. you will do great! :)
Oh yeah... go get a pedicure too!!!!!!
I had my membranes stripped with both kids, and went into labor on my own within 12 hours each time (and didn't need Pitocin either). Of course, the doctor/midwife would have to do the stripping for you! Are you dilated at all yet? Best of luck with the delivery, and either way, that baby is almost here!!
Good luck!
(and try to not think about it.)
(haa...as if you can stop thinking about it!!)
Actually I have heard of a lot of women that when they hear they are going to be induced on a certain day, they almost always go into labor before then. In fact my friend had it happen to her just last week. She was also scheduled for a Thursday. And lo and behold she gave birth on Wednesday afternoon. It took about 2 hours after her water broke.
Aw, honey, it'll be fine. You'll be fine and baby girl will be fine. I ended up inducing Silly Boy and he was STILL 9.4 lbs.!!! Dude, imagine if I had waited. He might have never come out.
I know how you are with the natural thing though so I'm sorry for you that this is the way things are turning out. But I promise, you'll be fine. Heck, after how good tomorrow will probably go, you just might change your ways for any future pregnancies. No? Yeah, you're right. Probably not. Not that it won't go good. I meant that you probably won't change your ways.
Okay, I'm rambling, but at least it's giving you something to read while you wait for tomorrow.
GOOD LUCK. I'll be thinking of you. And I can't wait to hear how things went down, or should I say "came out"? hehe
I'm with Christy J. We won't come knockin' sister! Can't wait to see that beautiful bambina!
Thinking of you.
just thinking about you today. sending out lots of easy labor vibes.
Good luck & I hope everything went as smoothly as possible!
