B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

I am going bananas for bananas people.

Have you ever noticed that a good banana is really good and a bad banana is really bad? The other day I was driving to my Yoga class and was snacking on a banana. It was the perfect banana. Perfectly golden yellow, not a touch of brown or green, just perfectly banana-y. It was seriously heavenly. As in, if I knew a banana would always taste that good I'd pass up a lot of not so healthy things to "peel that banana and Uh! Take a bite!"

On the other hand green bananas have that wierd ability to dry out your tongue and make your teeth feel funny. Brown ones are sickeningly sweet and leave a wicked bad taste in your mouth until you brush your teeth, not good.

Another way I love to devour my banana is to smear it with a little peanut butter. Totally delish! If you even like those foods a little, you have got to give the combo a shot. You just may be in love.

Speaking of love. Why am I still so immature that I can't help but crack a totally lame, childish joke when Pedro eats a banana? Men are allowed to love a good banana too aren't they? Or is it taboo for them to eat a banana in public?

Mmmmmmm...I love me some bananas.

LOL!! So true! For some reason, all the males I know feel so weird eating bananas in public. (Family members and close friends excluded- they seem to be okay eating bananas in front of me, but not in front of strangers).

We don't keep peanut butter in our house anymore, since our little nieces have nut allergies...but when I was a kid, I used to LOVE peanut butter and banana sandwiches. It sounds weird and icky, but it's ohhh sooo delish!!!

PS. I keep all my brown bananas in the freezer (you know, the lonely reject bananas that no one in the house wants to eat because they've started to turn spotty and brown). I store them in the freezer and when I'm ready to make banana bread or banana muffins, I take 'em out and they're ready to use :) I've got a good banana-choc chip bread recipe on my blog.

I'm not that much of a banana person, really. I like them by themselves, but I hate them in smoothies and breads and such. BUT... if you make pancake batter, and put bananas in that before you make your pancakes... THAT IS THE BOMB!!!! You don't need syrup or anything on them, just bananas!!

How is your Vacation destination planning going? I thought about you guys yesterday, it was in the upper 70°'s here. I hope you guys come down this way!!!

I have recently decided that I don't really like bananas...odd, I know.

I like bananas too, but I like mine to be just a little bit green and they HAVE to be cold! Peanut butter? Yuck!

See. Now, who knew banana would trigger such opinions?

Chrissy- I am glad I am not the only one who laughs about boys eating bananas too. I also keep old banana in the freezer for an awesome Banana cake with Cream cheese frosting. It doesn't work with WW though:(

Amy- I'm definately trying the pancakes!

Christy and Isabel- I'm not sure I can like either of you if you don't like bananas...hehe. Actually I won't eat a banana for months then I try them again and get hooked for a few months. I'm hooked right now, can you tell?

Rachel- ICK! You like green bananas? Once they're cold don't they turn brown?

Okay, but are you kooky for cocoa cocks, I mean puffs? It's lonely over here!

LOL @ MsMamma! You crack me up! Have you figured out why the comment part of your blog isn't working? Do you think it's because you switched to New Blogger? I switched the other month and I think New Blogger's better than the old one. It's easier to navigate...anyway...

Are you kooky for coco cocks! LOL! ;p Tooo funny!

Not totally green, just a little bit and yes, if you keep them in the fridge they will ripen pretty quick!

This is the strangest conversation about bananas I have ever witnessed.

I'll comment here then... hahahha!!! You wont get warm fuzzies from me, I just here ya. I struggle daily with different things. One week it'll be fine and the next, I'm at the bottom of the Ocean. I thought I was the only one that felt like that. I guess others just don't let it show.

Having 2 kids is hard as shit. I can't imagine how people with 3+ kids do it. I'd be OUT OF MY FREAKIN MIND!
Oh, and it is for that reason I am getting an IUD on Monday.
